Conferences on General AI: Oxford University, Dec 8-11

"The AGI conferences are the only major conference series devoted wholly and specifically to the creation of AI systems possessing general intelligence at the human level and ultimately beyond." This is a small conference (I expect around 200 people, give or take), and this year it comes in two parts, AGI-12 and AGI-Impacts:

The videos from the AGI-11 are available here:

I attended AGI-11, learned a lot of interesting things.

I was surprised that I did not recognize any names.

I certainly knew some names and even listened to some of the AGI-11 participants before AGI-11 took place (e.g. to Ben Goertzel, Noah Goodman, Ed Boyden, who are all very interesting people with interesting results).

I was not sure whether to attend AGI-12, or whether I received sufficient exposure to the field during AGI-11 (especially to some remarkable things done by Moshe Looks, and to the results obtained by Juergen Schmidhuber's group [I ought to have written and posted some reviews of those, but I have not done so yet]).

But it looks like I'll attend AGI-12 as well...

Should you decide to post something about it, I would be interested :)
