The 134th edition of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will be playing TD Banknorth Garden October 7th - 16th. A logistical function of bringing The Greatest Show On Earth to Boston requires transportation of some animal performers from the train storage location at the CSXT Grant Jct. track at Albany Street, south of Mass Ave, to the TD Banknorth Garden by foot where they be housed the weeks they are in town.
Here are the specifics on animals, times, dates, and proposed routes for the walk:
Animals on Walk:
10 Asian Elephants on foot
12 Barnyard Animals via Trailer
WALK TO GARDEN:
Thursday, October 6th at 11am
Proposed Route:
Pacific Ave. right onto Albany St., right on Mass Ave, left on Memorial Dr., right on Msg. O'Brien Hwy across Storrow Dr., to Martha Rds., left to Nashua Str. (Garden) ramp
WALK BACK TO TRAIN:
Sun., October 16th at 7:30pm
Proposed Route:
Nashua St. (Garden) ramp, right onto Nashua St. to Storrow Dr., right Msgr O'Brien Hwy, left at 1st St., right on Binney into Vassar, right on Mass Ave, left on Albany, left on Pacific to tracks
