Date: 2006-07-06 05:53 pm (UTC)The only possible excuse is that I hate when people do this: "Proceedings: A technical report including the accepted papers will be distributed at the conference. It is planned to publish a special issue of a journal dedicated to the conference. After the conference, the participants will be invited to submit their papers for publication in this special issue. The papers will be subject to the usual refereeing process of the journal."
My experience taught me not to trust this process (e.g. proceedings of MFPS XIV, 1998 were only published in 2004 and included just 10 papers from both MFPS 14 and MFPS 16, so it's basically fake proceedings; proceedings of MFPS 12 remain unpublished)..
On the other hands, this one has a different set of organizers.. Earlier MFPS conferences were nice in this sense, then degradation happened..
So we'll see :-)

In short, it's all in your hands! :-)

But he is not organizing this one, so I'll consider submitting :-)
